Heather and the front of house team oversee services that provide information and advice on what to see and do in Hitchin town centre and the surrounding area. They help visitors by advising them on where to stay and eat, and the best ways to travel around the area. Using their local knowledge along with printed reference sources such as timetables, leaflets and brochures, reference books and the internet, they are a bank of knowledge for residents and visitors to benefit from. They order and display a wide range of brochures and leaflets from hotels, tourist attractions, shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. The staff provide information and directions to visitors and businesses who call in at the centre, as well as supplying information by telephone, letter or email.
