Hitchin Historic Walking Tour - from High Street to Dead Street

Guided Walk around Hitchin’s historic Town Centre led by a former curator of The British Schools Museum.

The name Dead Street dates back to 1349 and the Black Death, and was usually in the most deprived area of a town and common in British towns and cities until the public health improvements of the mid-Victorian period.
