The Great Hitchin Duck Race 2026

The Great Hitchin Duck Race will take place along the River Hiz, outside St Mary’s Church.

The event will involve over 200 rubber ducks entering the River Hiz and then racing them downstream to the finish line. Bridge to Bridge. Locals will have a chance to ‘Adopt a duck’ and come along to cheer it on as it races down the river. The lucky winner will be crowned at the event.
